Dear Sir or Madam,

First of all, thank you very much for your positive comments on the start of our international REMEX newsletter. It proved to us that the interest in mineral recycling solutions is very high across Europe and overseas.

In this edition, we will continue to report on our Singapore subsidiary with a new plant video presenting our technology for the treatment of incinerator bottom ash (IBA).

Furthermore, we would like to introduce our international granova® brand as part of our recycling efforts for incinerator bottom ash. As an established initiative in many European countries, among them Germany, France and the Netherlands, we are seeking to widen the scope of this high quality secondary aggregate produced from IBA.

Thank you for your interest in REMEX and our solutions for the end of waste. Please contact us if you have questions – and if you like our information, please recommend this newsletter.

Yours sincerely,
Michael Stoll, Chief Executive Officer of REMEX Mineralstoff GmbH

REMEX film explains IBA processing technology

In our first international newsletter from December 2015, we reported on the opening of our latest IBA processing plant in Singapore and the remarkable feedback from international press on the flagship character of this project for Asia. Today, we are delighted to deliver more detailed information in form of a further video. Presenting the Singapore plant in operation, it explains the main processes and technology that we installed in order to reach optimum recycling rates. Watch the 4-minute film here.

granova®: secondary aggregate produced from IBA

Although an undoubtedly important economic factor in the process, the recycling of incinerator bottom ash (IBA) is not only about the recovery of metals. The main volume of IBA consists of a mineral fraction – which we believe shouldn’t be sent to landfill. REMEX emphasizes the importance of mineral recycling with its granova® initiative. Our IBA processing technology enables us to turn bottom ash into a high quality secondary aggregate. Learn more

granova® for use in concrete

Recycled concrete and recycled aggregates have been used in concrete production for many years. European standards comprise the base for these applications. Generally, these standards permit a partial replacement of the natural aggregate with recycled material between 20 and 50% of the total aggregate content. The Dutch are already making use of this opportunity. Our subsidiary in the Netherlands, HEROS Sluiskil B.V., is a prime example for successful implementation of regulatory standards. Learn more
